Our client is seeking a Senior System Administrator. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of reverse proxies, web site administration and development as well as Unix/Linux system administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web architecture, load balancers, application design concepts, and system administration tools.


You will support the following functions:

  • Architect/design guidance aerospace and defense customers by participating in the execution of projects to support design, development, implementation and sustainment of the proxy infrastructure
  • Technical design documentation
  • Tier III ticket response to problems and change requests
  • Create scripts/utilities to automate repetitive tasks (back-ups, refreshes, failovers, etc.)
  • Lead special projects identified by the customer relating to the Reverse Proxy
  • Define common processes and procedures to ensure Reverse Proxy server stability, performance, and availability
  • Provide technical expertise to applications using the Reverse Proxy on integration and migration issues



  • Demonstrated experience with web server software and database connectivity to Oracle
  • Familiar with IT Security principles and SSL
  • Knowledge of programming/scripting in Linux and UNIX
  • Detailed knowledge of Linux and Unix operating systems
  • Strong experience with tools that provide services such as application testing, web application servers, and content management.
  • Provide off-hours diagnostic and troubleshooting support as required


  • 5+ years experience in website administration and development
  • 5+ years experience in reverse proxies and Unix/Linux system administration
  • Experience in application usability managements
  • Experience in design testing and quality assurance
  • HTML/JavaScript/CSS
  • Experience working with the customer requirements
  • Self-motivated person who takes the initiative to accomplish project goals
  • Desire to learn
